Google Updates Link Exchange Guideline

The guideline on Link Schemes was updated last night. The original guideline stated:

Examples of link schemes can include: Link exchange and reciprocal links schemes ("Link to me and I'll link to you.")

Google updated the guideline to read:

Examples of link schemes can include: Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.")

Google Deletes Own Blog After Marking It As Spam

Google Custom Search Blog Hacked? from Google Blogoscoped reported what appeared to be a hack of Google's official Custom Search Blog. But what really happened was that Google marked their own blog as a spam blog and ultimately removed the blog from Blogger, allowing someone else to claim the URL.
